Words Of Wisdom From Our Women

March 8, 2022

If you’ve read through any of our blogs, you’ll find they’re basically all advice for ecommerce email marketing strategies and techniques - things we’re fucking great at, and things that may help you grow your business or at least understand where you can improve.

This one’s a little different. This is being published on March 8th, which is International Women’s Day. To break the fourth wall and give you a peek behind the curtain for a moment, my name is Matt and I’m not a woman. I am, however, surrounded by strong, brilliant, hilarious women in all levels of &BAM, and by my math I’m a minority, if that tells you anything. What it tells me is, in the never-ending quest for genuine equality, &BAM is doing something very right.

So, instead of helping you market your goods and services more effectively through email, we’re going to take a look at some wise words from some of those strong, brilliant, hilarious women I mentioned a moment ago.

Don’t use this to guide your email strategy.

Use this to guide your business practices and your personal ones. Use this to give the young women in your life some legitimate insight from women who are absolutely fucking crushing it. Honest, useful insight.

"For me, it's always been - just prove them wrong. If you're confident that you can do the thing, and you know the thing, then just do the thing, and they all have to pay attention. You can't sit back and wait for things to come to you. You have to go and do it."
"Don't be afraid to speak your mind, make your ideas heard, and stand up for yourself. As women, we have so much power. It's time to unleash your power and see what happens."

"I would tell (young women) to have high aspirations, to always demand for the things they deserve, to not crave validation, and to not compare yourself with anyone."
"International Women's Day allows for me to celebrate the complexity of my femininity and every way that it shows up in my life. I'm excited to see more women bring their complexity, tenacity, and tenderness into this field."
“I see International Women’s Day as a day where we stand in solidarity with ALL women. Women’s Day is a day to fight for and acknowledge women’s rights and that fight won’t stop ‘til we achieve equality for all.”
Fran: "It's amazing to see so many of the higher positions in the company being held by women. It makes it easier and more exciting to envision myself in those roles one day.
"I'm proud to be part of a company that doesn't take me for granted, where I can express and be who I am without any fear, and where I feel my voice will be heard."
